In July of 2008, FSCJ Dramaworks presented Five One Acts from David Ives’s All in the Timing, all of which loosely revolve around the importance and use of language. In English Made Simple it quickly becomes apparent that while words themselves may not be difficult, putting the right meaning behind them can be. A Singular Kind of Guy, Seven Menus, and Foreplay all offer different takes on the important of words to relationships. Finally, The Universal Language envisions a world where two shy people learn to use a new language to connect.
This show ran in the Black Box at FSCJ's Wilson Center for the Arts July 11-19, 2008.
