In July of 2012, FSCJ Artist Series and the Wilson Center for the Arts presented their 7th annual High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience, Peter Pan. Based on J.M. Barrie’s 1904 play of the same name, the story follows Peter Pan, a mischievous little boy who can fly and who has many adventures on the island of Neverland, which is inhabited by mermaids, fairies, Native Americans, and pirates. While listening to bedtime stories at the window of a London family named Darling, Peter is spotted and loses his shadow while trying to escape. When he returns for it, the Darlings’ daughter Wendy helps him reattach it, and in return he invites her and her brothers to join him in Neverland, where they battle the evil Captain Hook.
